The Brown County Sheriffs office is a collection site for any unwanted, unused or expired prescription medications. Anyone may bring down the medications to dispatch at any time and they will be placed in a secure container for disposal by the DEA. More than 500 pounds of prescription medications have been properly disposed of since the inception of this program. With the public supporting this program it helps to keep these medications out of the hands of those the medications were not intended for and will help keep our county safer. Thank you for all the participation so far and we ask that everyone pass the word around so we can get these medications to a safe place.
