Yet another new scam has surfaced in Brown County.
Scammers are calling county residents who have DISH Network and informing them that their receivers are out of date and not compatible with the new satellite configuration.
They are informing residents they will have to pay an additional $250 for the upgraded system. County residents have contacted DISH Network and they have been advised this is a scam.
As always, never give out personal information over the phone or computer.
