With the threat of winter weather, we should all be reminded of those less fortunate than we are and try to make their lives a little better. There are families in need and no where to go, so anything would be appreciated. We have had a number of Brown County people that the Topeka Rescue Mission has helped over the years. Thank you Stephanie Farr for letting us be a part of this very worthwhile project!

–Topeka Rescue Mission serves the needs of the homeless throughout all of NE Kansas and many others as well. With cold weather arriving TRM has a need for cold weather supplies. Blankets, coats, hats, scarves, gloves, cover-alls, boots, etc…Many of the guests at TRM work outside jobs year round or walk or bicycle to work daily.

Donations can be dropped off at Brown County Sheriff’s Department in Hiawatha or at Farr Chiropractic Clinic in Horton.

If you wish to make a monetary donation, that would be wonderful too. Checks can be made out to the Topeka Rescue Mission.

I am very proud of the people of Brown County and the way they always help out when there is a need!
