On 1-20-2014 there were 2 roll over accidents that were reported in Brown County. At approximately 7:56 a.m. a roll over accident was reported west of Fairview in the vicinity of 220th and Acorn Rd.

Nathaniel Nehow 16 of Sabetha, was northbound on Acorn Rd when the 1999 Buick Lesabre he was driving left the roadway striking a utility pole, causing the vehicle to roll over and land on its top.

At approximately 5 p.m. that same afternoon south of Hamlin, a 1996 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by Jennifer Koetting 18 of Hiawatha, was northbound on Goldfinch Rd in the vicinity of 260th, when she struck an object in the roadway causing the vehicle to leave the road and roll over.

We are very fortunate that both of these drivers were wearing their seat belts. Very minor injuries were reported and neither driver required medical attention at either scene. This is a huge testimony about the importance of wearing seat belts at all times when driving. We feel very strongly that by these drivers wearing their seat belts, a tragedies were prevented. We truly commend both drivers for wearing their seat belts!
